SUMMARY:Virtual Farm Food Safety Plan Workshop 2 day
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE THIS COURSE HAS MULTIPLE SESSIONS OVER TWO DAYS (see below) YOU MUST ATTEND ALL SESSIONS \nAre you thinking about developing a food safety plan for your farm before planting season? Have you taken the Food Safety Modernization Act- Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training and now you want to implement a food safety plan on your farm? \nTo assist fruit and vegetable growers in Michigan\, Michigan Farmers Union has developed a free virtual workshop focused on food safety plans. \n“Develop Your Farm Food Safety Plan” is a free virtual learning workshop that can be completed in the comfort of your own home\, fuzzy slippers and all. This course is designed to complement\, not replace\, the Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training Course for FSMA certification. While a written Farm Food Safety Plan is not required by FSMA\, it provides an excellent path to compliance for your farm. \nThis multi-day\, interactive virtual learning event is a combination of video presentations\, live zoom meetings\, and time to collaborate with other farmers after a bit of homework. This course is designed to be completed in 6 hours online\, with additional time for “home/farm work” on your own in-between live Zoom meetings. \nTwo separate sessions will be offered\, participants are required to attend all Zoom meetings\, as material will build throughout the course. Those who attend all sessions will receive a certificate of completion. \nSession Dates and Times (must participate in all meeting times) \nPart 1: Thursday\, March 18 – 9:30 – 10:30 am & 1 – 2:30 pm \nPart 2: Friday\, March 19: 9:30 – 10:30 am & 1- 2:30 pm \nLive Zoom meetings will provide the opportunity to learn the components of a food safety plan and interact with others in the course. The live sessions will be followed up with “home/farm work” exercises which will help you build your food safety plan. This session is streamlined over the course of two days. The breaks in between session times will give you time to work on activities and tend to other matters. \nTopics covered: \n\nPerform a Risk Assessment\nWrite Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\nRecord Keeping: What does FSMA require and why?\nDocumenting: If it is not written down\, you didn’t do it\nProduct Traceability\nPrepare for an FDA farm inspection\n\nThe course materials include dedicated time to review the Farm Food Safety Plan Template developed by MDARD Produce Safety Team. Other materials in the course included resources\, documents\, and templates from other trusted food safety experts to incorporate into your individualized farm food safety plans. \nTRAINING IS FREE!! \nThe workshop information is applicable throughout the USA. If you farm in a state other than Michigan we invite you to attend and share the practices from your part of the country. \nThere is no cost to attend the event\, however\, PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Registration is limited to keep the course engaging\, so register today! \nThis training will assist with developing the necessary compliance items of the FSMA rules. It will NOT meet the training requirements to obtain the certificate required under the FSMA Produce Safety Rules. Attending a Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training Certification Course prior to taking this training is recommended but not required. You will receive a certificate for your records following completion of the workshop. \n\n \n \n March 18 Farm Food Safety Plan\n Registration March 18\, 2021 Virtual Farm Food Safety Plan\n \n First Name*Last Name*Email\n \n PhoneAddress \n \n \n \n Street Address\n \n \n Address Line 2\n \n \n City\n \n \n State / Province / Region\n \n \n ZIP / Postal Code\n \n AfghanistanÅland IslandsAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarrussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCongo\, Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCôte d'IvoireCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzech RepublicDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatini (Swaziland)EthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacauMacedoniaMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth KoreaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRéunionRomaniaRussiaRwandaSaint BarthélemySaint HelenaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth GeorgiaSouth KoreaSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan Mayen IslandsSwedenSwitzerlandSyriaTaiwanTajikistanTanzaniaThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkeyTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUS Minor Outlying IslandsUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaVietnamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabwe\n Country\n \n \n CAPTCHA\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nThis project is supported by the FDA as part of a financial assistance award 1U01FD006921-01 totaling $25\,000.00 with 100 percent funded by FDA/HHS.
